An Apple in Cider Country
18th June 2009

My father and I travelled on a railtour behind the new build Peppercorn A1 pacific No. 60163 'Tornado' on Thursday the 18th June from Reading to Minehead (behind DBS No. 67006 'Royal Sovereign') and back (behind Tornado.) Despite missing an air pump failure outside Castle Cary, late running and missing our connection I still enjoyed myself!

There had been an event on the previous weekend, so GWR King 4-6-0 No. 6024 'King Edward 1st' was to be seen receiving attention outside Williton shed. A bit of a hark back to a few years ago found us doing a similar railtour with this loco from Reading to Minehead!
