Farewell to the Decauville
18th July 2007

Yesterday (18 July 2007) was Decauville 0-4-0WT No.1126 'Barbouilleur' last day in steam. She is likely to be untouched for a couple of years as the owners need time to progress with their other projects.

The Decauville wouldn't steam well during the steam up process, the coal and wood was producing tar which is no good at all for any engine.

'Barbouilleur''s backhead. This engine has a more 'industrial' feel to it than PB or 'Wendy', which makes it more appealing to the enthusiast.
